  • Introduce the Town of Millacre.

 

      • Mill town.
      • Small Village of roughly 100 people.
      • Town hall in center of town. (Alexander/AP)
      • Woodmill towards the west side of town.
      • Small family farms to the east.
      • North leads into a forest where the local hunter resides. (Nico/Ethan)
      • South leads to the stables. (Joseph)
      • The rest of town includes the local Inn/Tavern named The Messy Ettin, a few various shops (Bookstore, Blacksmith, Leatherworker, Butcher, Herbalist, The Magic Fang [Gor/Stephen]), and a few modest homes.
      • Town had been experiencing tremors recently.

  • Introduce Characters.

 

      • #1) Nico: Have him track a Giant Elk and bring it to the butcher. Show off character abilities.
      • #2) Alexander: Have him discuss town issues and roleplay with the town leader. (Stefan Brynjolf)
      • #3) Gor: Have a customer walk in and discuss the purchase of something.

  • Begin earth tremors. 

 

      • Sinkhole opens up around the woodmill, swallowing up one of the wood choppers.
      • Stefan holds a town meeting trying to determine who should go down into the hole. Town votes to have party do it if they do not decide together.
      • Stefan offers any assistance (Rations, Supplies, etc)
      • Players Drop down into cave.
      • Roll constitution saves. DC 5
      • Travel further down the tunnel following Woodchopper tracks.
      • Roll Constitution saves. DC 10
      • Enter Heart room.
        • Woodman collapsed on the ground (Perception reveals he died of suffocation)
        • Huge heart pumping. Cavern is slowly swaying.

  • Party decides what to do now.

 

      • Go back to town?
      • Stab Heart?
      • Leave Heart?

  • If party stabs heart

 

    • A horrible, gut wrenching bellow fills the air.
    • The whole cavern begins to convulse violently.
    • When party escapes cavern…
      • Notice they are over 1000 feet in the air.
      • Seem to be on the back of some sort of creature.
      • Town has fallen off.
      • Creature begins to fall over.
    • Introduce Bergelmir the Jotunn Prince
      • Party hears quaking footsteps from a distance
      • Bergelmir and his party come into view.
        • Bergelmir falls to his knees and speaks: “Father! After all these years… you were in Midgard. If I had only known, if only you had given us a sign.”
      • Notices Party
        • “You do you have any idea who you’ve just killed? He is… was the King of Jotunnheim, Þrúðgelmir! He has been missing for eons and his people, me most of all, have searched for him. My father… only to be killed by nothing more than… than mortals! I will reign a blizzard with the force of a thousand winters on all of midgard and I’ll start with your pathetic squabble.”
      • Bergelmir picks up his foot and stomps on the remains of the town.
        • “Midgard is doomed. I will gather an army and destroy it once and for all. You have my word.”
      • A Jotunn wizard then thrusts his staff into the earth and the Jotunn and the Dead Giant disappear.
      • With the stomp, a shockwave of ice and snow shoots out from the impact zone.
        • Characters roll dex and con saving throws, take 3d6 cold dmg on failed save and half that on success.
